Mindful Photography for Calm & Connection

A gentle self paced 6 module course to help you slow down, notice more, and feel at home in yourself again.

You don’t need to be a photographer to join this course.
You just need to be human. Maybe a little overwhelmed. Maybe a bit creatively stuck. Maybe carrying the weight of the world and longing for a pause that feels like presence.

This self-paced, 6 module, digital course invites you to reconnect, with your senses, with your creativity, and with the quiet beauty of the natural world. Through mindful photography, we’ll explore how seeing differently can help us feel differently. And how noticing the small stuff? That can change everything.

You don’t need fancy kit, a photography or mindfulness background, or a wellness routine that looks like a Pinterest board. Just curiosity, a camera or phone, and a willingness to slow down.

This course is for you if:

  • You crave moments of calm and clarity in your day.

  • You're navigating anxiety, burnout, or disconnection.

  • You’ve lost touch with your creative spark

  • You feel most grounded in nature (or wish you did)

  • You’re seeking a soft, pressure-free space to express yourself

  • You’re tired of quick fixes and want something that feels real, spacious, and soul-honouring

Why Mindful Photography Matters (and why it works)

You know those moments when life feels too loud, and too much. Where your mind spirals, your energy dips, and the simplest things feel heavy. Mindful photography creates a quiet pocket of space where the nervous system can soften and the world feels quieter again. It is not about perfect images or having all the gear, it is about learning to see in a new way, one that helps you feel more grounded, steady, and connected to yourself.

When I began this practice for my own healing, it helped me slow my breath, it unlocked my child like wonder and curiosity. I started to notice beauty again, and meet my emotions with a little more gentleness. Many people who come to mindful photograpy share something similar. One participant told me that mindful photography eased long held patterns from a traumatic childhood. Another shared that it helped them let go of the pressure to perform as a photographer and reconnect with joy. Others have spoken of feeling calmer, more present, more themselves.

Mindful photography supports you to
• quieten overwhelm
• reconnect with your senses
• find steadiness in nature
• rediscover creativity without pressure
• ease anxious thinking
• build confidence through gentle self expression

It’s a different kind of healing, one that happens through noticing and observation rather than trying to fix. Seeing a leaf in a new way, a the light through trees, the way the wind moves across water. Tiny moments that remind you that you are part of something living, spacious, and supportive.

Why this matters

We live in a world that moves too fast and tells us we’re not enough.
This course is a gentle rebellion against that noise.

It’s a reminder that healing doesn’t have to be loud or linear. Sometimes it’s just… noticing the curve of a leaf. The flicker of light on water. The way your breath feels when you’re truly here.

How It Works

This isn’t a course about perfect pictures. It’s about presence, noticing, and remembering who you are when the noise quietens.

Here’s what to expect:

1. You’ll receive instant access
Once you sign up, you’ll get access to everything you need to begin, no rushing, no pressure. You can start when it feels right for you.

2. Set your own pace
This course is self-led and gently structured. There are 6 themed modules, for you to follow - one a week, each offering:
[✓] a short video or audio invitation
[✓] a mindful photography prompt
[✓] a reflection or journaling practice
[✓] a soulful nudge back to yourself

Take a week per module or linger for longer. You’re the guide here.

3. All you need is a phone or camera
No fancy kit needed. Just curiosity, a willingness to slow down, and a device that takes pictures. That’s it.

4. Every activity is an invitation
You’ll never be told what you should feel or create. This is about what feels good for you, today. You can pause. Skip. Come back later. It all counts.

5. A space to share (if you want to)
You’re warmly invited to join our private Facebook community, a gentle, soulful space to share your photos, reflections, and wins (big or small). No algorithms. No pressure. Just honest connection and kind encouragement.

6. Keep the materials for life
You’ll have lifetime access, so you can revisit the course whenever you need to come home to yourself again.

About Your Guide

Kim Stone, Mindfulness Teacher, with long brown hair smiling and holding multiple copies of a book titled "Through Different Eyes" by Kim Stone

Hi, I’m Kim 👋
Founder of Naturally Mindful, nature wanderer, mindful mischief-maker, and firm believer that healing doesn’t have to be loud or polished to be powerful.

I created this course for the sensitive souls. The ones who feel a bit too much, move a bit slower, and crave a gentler way of being in the world. Because I’ve been there too, burned out, anxious, overwhelmed by life and all its noise.

Photography became my quiet anchor. A way to notice more, breathe deeper, and reconnect to something bigger than myself. Not to get it “right” or chase perfect shots, but to feel more present, more alive, and more me.

My background includes over a decade supporting others through anxiety, grief, and trauma recovery- combining mindfulness, creativity, and time outdoors to help people feel whole again. I’ve trained in mindful practices, draw-talk therapy, and nature-based wellbeing, but most of all, I’m a human who knows how it feels to be lost... and how powerful it is to find yourself again through beauty, slowness, and softness.

This course is an invitation to do just that.

No pressure, no fixing, no filters, just your eyes, your breath, your story. And a camera (any kind will do).

Let’s go gently together
